Lady Eli’s career earnings have ticked closer to $3 million with each graded stakes win. She has eight of them, including the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) in 2014. After a mere head loss in her first start of 2017, Lady Eli shook the field with an assertive, half-length win in the Gamely (G1) at Santa Anita before capturing the Diana (G1) and Ballston Spa (G2) at Saratoga. She has dominated at four race tracks on the East and West Coasts, putting international fields behind her in races like the Belmont Oaks Invitational (G1) and Flower Bowl (G1).
Undefeated throughout her 2- and 3-year-old-seasons, Lady Eli has bested outstanding individuals including Dickinson and Miss Temple City. The same resilience that helped her win so many coveted races also allowed her to overcome a battle with laminitis and return to the races with a courageous second-place finish in the Ballston Spa in August 2016. Since then she has reaffirmed her ability with three Grade 1 wins and two Grade 1 places – neither of which she lost by greater than a head.
