Grade 1 winner Dame Dorothy, by leading broodmare sire Bernardini, is being offered in foal to Uncle Mo. Her first foal, a filly by Curlin, sold for $1.05 million at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
On the track, Dame Dorothy won five stakes highlighted by her game score over champion Judy the Beauty in the Humana Distaff (G1) at Churchill Downs. She flashed her brilliance early with four consecutive victories at four tracks at 2 and 3. She remained remarkably consistent throughout her 12-race career in which she won seven times.
Her quality pedigree includes her half-sister Mrs. Lindsay, a Group 1 winner and stakes producer, and Whitney (G1) winner Unaccounted For
Bernardini’s daughters have produced such stakes winners as Hollywood Derby (G1) winner Mo Town (by Uncle Mo) and Travers (G1) winner Catholic Boy.
